Bathroom Sink Plumbing Code

Here's a diagram of the basic code standards. It does not matter whether it is a kitchen, bathroom, laundry, or bar sink.

  •  Trap weir, also called trap seal, minimum of 2" and maximum of 4"
  •  Maximum length of trap arm variable based on diameter of pipe
  •  30" maximum from sink outlet to centerline of trap
  •  24" maximum from bottom of sink to trap seal
  •  6" maximum difference between bottom of sinks served by one trap
